Two former Cy Youngs went at it in this one... Brewers John Smoltz up against the Mariners Cliff Lee... Both Pitchers had it going up until the bot of the 5th... when Mariners Matt Kemp, who had been struggling most of the season hit one deep to left and blew Smoltz's shutout....In the top of the 6th the Brewers put the pressure on when Freddy Sanchez started the inning with a single and Suzuki followed with a bunt single... but were unable to bring in any runs.... In the bot 7th the Mariners blew it open as they scored 5 runs in the inning....Matt Kemp then added a couple more in the bot 8th when he homered for the 2nd time in the game (Rihanna must've been at the stadium) Cliff went on to pitch a complete game shutout as the Mariners took this one 8-0
