Boston Redsox (RSN22) vs Seattle Mariners (WichiWichiPai) Series 3

Game 1

This game disconnected in the top of the 8th inning. The Redsox were winning 1-0 and Verlander was throwing a 1 hit gem. Manny Ramirez was the only run of the game on a solo shot to right field in the 4th inning. Mike I'm assuming this goes down as a 1-0 dropped game with no winning pitcher, no save, no POG. Let me know if I'm wrong.

Awful lot of dropped games this season despite the fact Sportsconnect only has to deal with about 100 games across the entire country these days. Luckily, everyone who had a win pending actually got the win so far.

Yeah, but it sucks for Wichi. He still had a great chance at pulling this game out. Verlander was dealing but it was only 1-0. The funny thing is that the entire game was smooth, not a single blip on the radar, then out of nowhere the game disconnects.

Both Boston's Lester and Mariner's Ubaldo Jimenez had things going their way up until the top 4th when Manny for the second time in this series put the Red Sox on the board first with a RBI double.... The Mariners were unable to respond up until the bot 6th..... when with two outs Teixeira at the plate with a man on 1st and 2nd and Lester needing only one strike (which he didnt get thankfully on backdoor cutter that caught the outside corner) to get out the inning... Teixeira hits a 3 run bomb that gave the Mariners a 3-1 lead.... This lead wouldnt last long as the Red Sox would answer right back in the following inning with Chipper's 2 run shot to tie the game at 3.... The game remained tied up until the top of the 9th when with 2 outs Chipper Jones again came up big with a double that put the Sox in scoring position and a chance to take the lead....Markakis (who i think came in to pinch hit) came up big with a Rbi single that gave Boston a 4-3 Lead going into the bot 9th.... But it wouldnt last long as Mariners 3b Michael Young was at bat with 2 outs and the bases loaded and hit a 2 run walk-off single....great game
