The Redsox scored first in the 1st inning when Dustin Pedroia hit a sac fly to bring in the run from third. The Rays scored in the bottom of the inning when Ben Zobrist also hit a sac fly to make the score 1-1 at the end of 1. In the second inning, Marco Scutaro kept the theme going when he also hit a sac fly to make the score 2-1 Redsox. Victor Martinez gave the Redsox a little breathing room with an RBI single in the 5th inning making it 3-1. In the bottom of the inning, Mike Cameron stole a HR from the Rays when he leaped at the wall to bring it in. In the 8th inning, the Rays came back to even things up on an RBI sac fly by Jason Bartlett and an RBI single up the middle by Evan Longoria to make it a 3-3 game. In the top of the tenth however, the Redsox would pull away for good when David Ortiz and J D Drew both hit RBI single to make what would be the eventual final score of 5-3. Jonathan Papelbon put the game away in the bottom of the 10th. GREAT GAME!

The Rays jumped out to a 5 run lead on a 2 run HR by Carlos Pena and a 3 run HR by Pat Burrell. The Redsox answered right back though in the 2nd inning with a 2 run HR by Mike Lowell, a 2 run HR by Adrien Beltre, and a 2 run single by Kevin Youkilis to make the game 6-5 Redsox halfway through the 2nd inning. Jason Bartlett hit a 2 run HR in the 4th inning to make it 7-6 Rays. The Rays added 3 more runs in the 6 when Kelly Shoppach doubled in a run, Carl Crawford singled in a run, and Evan Longoria doubled in a run making it a 10-6 lead for the Rays. The Redsox however, came charging back in the top of the 7th with an RBI single by Jacoby Ellsbury, a run scored from 3rd on a throwing error by the pitcher, and a 2 run single by Mike Cameron. J.D. Drew homered in the top of the 8th to give the Redsox the lead and the win. Jonathan Papelbon came in the game to close it out in the 9th.

Kevin Youkilis got things started for the Redsox in this one with a 2 run HR in the 1st. Ben Zobrist answered right back with a 3 run HR in the bottom of the inning to make it 3-2 Rays. Ortiz would give the Redsox back the lead in the 3rd inning with an absolute bomb to right field with a man on 1st to make it a 4-3 game. In the 4th the Rays score a run on a passed ball tying the game at 4 a piece. Singles by Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz in the 7th made the game 6-4 Redsox. A Jacoby Ellsbury RBI single and Dustin Pedroia RBI DB in the 8th made it a 8-4 Redsox lead. The Rays were far from done though. Matt Joyce hit a 2 RBI single in the bottom of the 8th to make the game 8-6 Redsox. J.D. Drew would bring in a run on a fielders choice ground ball to give the Redsox the 9-6 lead. The Rays would give the Redsox a big scare in the 9th as they bring in two runs off of an RBI single by Carlos Pena and and RBI 3B by Ben Zobrist to make the score 9-8 Redsox. With a man on 3rd, B.J. Upton hit's an absolute seed to Kevin Youkilis to end the game. Hit it as hard as you can hit a ball but right at him.
