| This post is mostly for the new members so that they can understand what We are trying to do here, but also a refresh/reminder for players from last Year so that We don't make the same mistakes We made last Year.
So anyways, All We want is to "Keep it Real", We want Our league to be as Simulation style as possible.
Starting Lineups:
This is pretty much at You're own discretion, the order We don't care much if You want to hit Your pitcher 4th. What We don't want to see is players out of position. Please don't put an outfielder to play the infield or viceversa, it's ok to play an outfielder in any of the outfield position, but please don't put him at 2nd base.
Starting Rotations:
This was really confusing last Year. So I'm planning to do everything I can to make it better. I know it's not easy guys but I need You all to put emphasis in making sure You pitch the right pitcher in each game, and also make sure Your opponent does the same.
We want to have the rotations as realistic as possible. So You need to post Your rotations and stick to it, I will post an example, so that the new guys get an idea.
If a pitcher goes down whether is to the minors, DL or bullpen, You can't move any other pitcher up in the order, You must put the replacement in the vacant spot.
Example.
Giants Rotation:
1. Tim Lincecum 2. Matt Cain 3. Barry Zito 4. Ryan Sadowski ( Replacing Randy Johnson, DL ) 5. Jonathan Sanchez

| Yo Mike I need U to make this thread a "Sticky", I don't know why I can't do it myself ( Or maybe I don't know how to )
And also I need every player in this season to post that they read and understood these rules, I'll be keeping a close eye on this matter, and also will try to help everyone get the right pitcher every time. I don't know maybe post each series the pitchers that are suppose to pitch, I'll come up with something.
But EVERYBODY should reply to this post stating that they understood these rules; and if You don't or if You have any questions this is the time to ask them. After We get going there will be ZERO TOLERANCE, any mistakes (intentional or accidental ) will cause a booton council.

Just a reminder that everyone should post a rotation BEFORE playing a game.

| We are only posting starting lineups and starting rotations.... so we could technically use anybody for the bullpen, right???
I don't think this came up last season, but I want to make sure its kosher before we start....

| The game doesn't allow you to use anyone from the bullpen. When you start the game, Sportsconnect only gives you one of 5 options, the "starters", which is supposed to be identical to what is going on in real life. So, if Joba is in the bullpen in real life, he won't be one of your five choices.
Part of the reason you have to check your lineup and rotation everytime there is a roster update is to check on whether one of the 5 available starters has changed, and, if so, you need to post it on the board before playing.

| Sorry, I misunderstood about Joba, but the problem is still the same.
If Joba is one of the starting five according to Sportsconnect, you wont have the option of replacing him. Say you want Wang, who is in the bullpen, to pitch instead. But your only choices are Sabathia, Pettite, Chamberlain, Burnette, and Aceves. Sportsconnect doesn't give you the CHOICE to switch Joba with Wang. You are stuck with those five, because those are the five starters in real life.

| No, and I didn't know you were going with a 4 man rotatation last year. Were you? Each series has as specific rotation. In Series 2 you are supposed to pitch 4-5-1. The only question and discretion you have is which of the Sportsconnect chosen five is your number 1, 2, 3, etc. | |

| You have to keep a 5 man rotation. There was an exception in the playoffs to jump over your number 5, but not in the regular season. Your number 5 plays the other guy's number 5 | |

| actually, me being a rotation expert , You can start anybody from the bullpen, the only thing that You can not do is use a starter in relief; so U are screwed anyways, Cuz, If U start someone from the bullpen, EX. Wang, then You'll have 1 less man in the bullpen (JOBA), cuz U won't be able to use him out of the bullpen. Get it? | |
