Game 1
Boston 12
Dodgers 1
Win: Clay Buccholz
Player of Game: JD Drew
In the first, the Dodgers came out swinging, scoring 1 run off 3 Hits. In the bottom half of the inning, the RedSox tied the game on a JD Drew Homer. Buccholz then settled down. In the 3rd inning, the RedSox caught fire scoring 4 runs led by Big Papi's triple, yes TRIPLE, Wow, he was running in slow motion folks, signing autographs running by the bases, even ordering a hotdog rounding second. You had to see it to believe it. In the 7th, RedSox tacked on a few more with a Pedroia RBI triple, scoring Ellsbury who led off with a double. In the eighth, this is where it gets interesting. Ortiz, yes, I said Big Papi, hits an inside the park HR. He then was led to the training room to get oxygen and another hotdog. Later in the same inning, JD Drew hits a grand slam to seal the deal. Buccholz allowed only 3 more hits the whole game. Great outing by Clay.
