The Tigers got things started in the top of the 2nd with a solo HR by Brandon Inge. In the bottom of the 4th the Giants took the lead with a 2 RBI DB by Benji Molina to make the score 2-1 Giants. In the top of the 6th the Tigers would tie the game at 2-2 with an RBI single by Miguel Cabrera. In the top of the 7th the Tigers took the lead for good with an RBI single by Placido Polanco, a 2 RBI single by Magglio Ordonez, and an RBI single by Cabrera. The Tigers would tack on another run in the top of the 8th with and RBI single by Polanco. The Giants scored another run in the bottom of the 9th off of a solo HR by Molina but it was much too little much too late as the Tigers took this one 7-3.
