The Dodgers jumped out to a 2-0 lead early on rookie pitcher M. Boggs,that would be the only runs the Cards pitching staff would give up. The Cards fought back and got a solo shot from Ludwick to give the Cards there 1st run,M. Boggs helped his own cause by hitting a single to drive in a run tying the game at 2.M. Holliday hit a solo homer to give the Cards the lead for good in the 7th,the Cards tacked on another run in the 8th and R. Franklin came in in the 9th to perserve the win and get the save.
