Game 1




Game began with me putting pressure on BB early, he would bend but not break. The scoring got started in the 4th with AJ getting an intentional walk to load the bases. Rios found this to be a slap in the face and in return took a John Lester curveball over the right field fence for a grand slam. However i kept the pressure on BB, he battles and never lets up nonetheless Peavy pitched like an ace today going the distance for a complete game shutout. AJ added two more in the 8th after a 2run shot off of the washed up billy wagner. Final score 6-0. The MVP of the league was held to 0-3 with 2 k's.

GAME 2



This was not a game for the faint of heart. Carlos Quentin started it off in the 1st with a solo shot to give the sox in white the lead. The MVP tied the game all up in the 3rd with a rbi single. The red sox later took a one run lead which stood until the 8th when the white sox clawed back. Podsednik blooped a single to bring in the runner in from 3rd. It became a battle of the bullpens after this, 2-2 it stayed until the bottom of the 12th when Jayson Nix who had come off the bench earlier in the game got the walk off single up the middle on the drawn in infield. WOW WHAT A GAME. 12 inning classic, this is what the playoffs are all about.

Game 3

White Sox 6, Red Sox 3 FINAL - TO BE POSTED

Game 3 had finally gotten underway after being postponed 2 days due to unplayable weather.

The ChiSox were going for the sweep, while the Red Sox were trying to prolong their season.

Pitching matchup: Gavin Floyd vs. Dice-k

Right off the bat it was very noticeable Gavin Floyd left his good stuff at home. His fast ball was flat and he was hanging his curveball in the zone. The red sox jumped all over him and put up two runs in the first. However Floyd bent but didnt break he could only go 4 innings giving up 3 runs on 6 hits. On the other side Dice-K was dealing, the ChiSox could not get any solid contact until the 5th where they finally got on the board 3-1.

As the innings progressed it began to look as if game 4 was inevitable, but someone forgot to tell Mark Kotsay that as he drove a double off the big monster in the 7th to cut the lead to 3-2.

As we entered the 9th it looked as if game 4 was fast approaching as the Red Sox sent out Papelbon to close out the game. However the White Sox were determined to finish this series early and get that rotation in order as they put up 4 runs in the 9th off Papelbon with a HBP and 2 run rbi by A Ramirez. In the bottom of the 9th with no Bobby Jenks to go to, the White Sox felt their best option was to leave Matt Thorton out there to work his second straight inning. He got all three outs with the third being a fly out to center, thus sending the team rushing to the field..


It was a great series with BB and he was a great competitor. You made me sweat many times thruout..

Now BRING ON THE GIANTS!!!!!!
