The back end of the Tigers bullpen can't hold the lead as the Rangers come back to win it on a walk off blast by Josh Hamilton. The Rangers started off the scoring with a sacrifice fly by Nelson Cruz, but Detroit came back in the second inning to make it 3-1 and would hold that lead for most of the game. Jim Leyland pulled the plug early on starter Dontrelle Willis, after 4.2 innings. Willis only gave up one run on 3 hits during his outing. Detroit took the 3-1 lead into the 8th inning, when Joel Zumaya and Jose Valverde just imploded. Zumaya was credited with a third of an inning, giving up 2 runs on 2 hits. Valverde closed out the inning, but gave up the walk off to Josh Hamilton on the first pitch of the at bat with 2 outs.
