In the 4th inning, Adrien Beltre hit a fielder's choice ground ball to bring in a run and Marco Scutaro hit a 2 RBI single to make it 4-0 Redsox. In the 5th inning, the Mariners got on the board when the runner on third scored on a passed ball. In the bottom of the inning the Redsox would put it out of reach with 2 run HR's by Victor Martinez and J.D. Drew making it 8-1 Redsox. In the 7th inning, Mike Cameron drove in a run on a fielder's choice ground ball and Marco Scutaro hit an RBI single to make it 10-1 Redsox. The Mariners only other run came on an Ichiro Suzuki RBI triple in the late innings of the game to make it a final of 10-2 Redsox

Victor Martinez got things going for the Redsox in the 1st inning with an RBI sac fly making the score 1-0. in the 4th inning, The Redsox broke out the long ball with solo HR's by David Ortiz, J.D. Drew, and Marco Scutaro to make it a 4-0 Redsox lead. In the 5th inning, the Mariners got on the board with an RBI single by Chone Figgins. Dustin Pedroia would add a run for the Sox in the 7th with an RBI single. The Mariners tacked on one more run in the 8th with a Franklin Gutierrez sac fly to make the final score 5-2 Redsox.

The Redsox kept the theme of jumping out early in game 3 when in the 2nd inning Mike Lowell hit a solo HR and Marco Scutaro followed that with a 2 run HR later in the inning to make it a 3-0 Redsox lead early. Mike Lowell and Adrien Beltre both singled in runs in the 3rd inning to make it 5-0 Redsox. Things were quiet until the 8th inning when Josh Bard hit a solo HR to make it 5-1. Redsox. The Redsox tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the 8th when Marco Scutaro hit his 2nd HR of the game (second game this season he's done that) and Victor Martinez singled in a run to make the final score 7-1 Redsox.
