Game 1: TEX 6, CLE 2

Texas was looking to bounce back after losing 6 of their last 7, and did so in a big way today at The Jake, er, Progressive field. The Tribe made it a tough ballgame, holding a 2-2 ballgame into the 7th inning before Jarrod Saltalamacchia used the element of surprise and dropped a successful suicide squeeze to bring in the go-ahead run. Nelson Cruz ended the game in the 8th with a 3 run jack and Frank Fransisco came in to close it.

Game 2: TEX 11, CLE 3

Rangers hit 5 home runs to drop the Indians on the road. Josh Hamilton led the charge with 2 of them, and Cruz, Saltalamacchia, and Vlad Guerrero hit the other three. Rich Harden had a brilliant performance overlooked by the offensive display. Harden went 8 innings and gave up 2 runs on 5 hits.
