Continuing on in their spoiler role, the Cards come out swinging with individual runs in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd to quickly go up 3-0 on the much abused J. Suppan. Teams alternate runs the rest of the game with the Brewers scoring, then the Cards scoring. Brewers had several good chances, including getting thrown out at the plate in the 7th. J. Motte earned his third save in four games.

My stupid runner was half way home and went back to third when I tried sending the runner from 2nd there! Still took a bonehead slide to tag him out on a close play at the plate. Would have been 3-2 with runners on the corners and Braunie up!!!!
