Phillies jumped out early with 4 runs in the first three innings to take a 4-0 lead. That lead would hold all the way until the eight, as the Rays score two attemping a mini comeback. Phillies answer with a run in the bottom of the eighth to close out the scoring.

Rays try to take page from Phillies book and jump to a 2-0 lead in the first. Phillies come right back with a two run shot from Victorino in the bottom of the inning to tie the game. Then, it the same inning, R. Ibanez drives in the winning run right there. Pitchers make this a one inning game as no one scores the rest of the way.

The nailbiter of the series, Rays jump out in front 1-0 in the second inning. They will hold that lead until the sixth, when Jimmy Rollins manufactures a run by way of a hit, a steal, and two past balls. Rays take the lead again in the top of the 9th and look to be pocketing a win. Chase Utley starts off the bottom of the ninth and promptly hits a home run to tie it. Ibanez drives in Werth with the winning run the same inning on a close play at the plate.

A hard fought series all around. All games could have gone either way.
