Game 1: MIN 5, TEX 11

Texas rides a late surge to victory in the first of the three game set against the visiting Minnesota Twins. This game started out as a pitcher's duel as Brandon McCarthy and Kevin Slowey kept runs off the board into the 6th inning. In the 6th, the Rangers blew up for 8 runs, highlighted by a Jarrod Saltalamacchia grand slam followed by a Vladimir Guerrero 3 run homer. Minnesota would fight back in the top half of the 7th, getting 4 runs off of McCarthy, but that would be as close as they would get because Texas added 3 of their own in the bottom half.

that was a great game man. the second i released that 2-2 curveball to Salt....I had a bad feeling!!! then it just got worse from there on out...that grand slam and the double plays took the wind out of my little digital dudes. I look forward to playing 2 and 3!

Game 2 highlights:

The Rangers will kill you with the long ball in one game then turn around and hit singles all night long move runners around those bases. Great game 2!

LOL Yeah I think all but 4 of my hits were singles, but what's really impressive is Nelson Cruz's double off of his face (watch the video). Good game. Hopefully we can close it out tomorrow.
