Game freezing on pause menu after going to bulpen late in game

For some reason the game has frozen in the first 2 gms of my series with Rbadd.... Both times in the 8th inning...after going to the bulpen the gm freezes in the pause menu... The clock continues to count down then the gm eventually disconnects... From my understanding Rbadd says the solution is to press up on the d-pad you'll exit the menu

Whoops...my misunderstanding...Pressing up on the the d-pad won't exit you from the freeze....what it does do is help you avoid the freeze.... Instead of pressing the start button to access the bulpen or pinch hit press up on the d-pad
