This was anyone's game if they just found a way to score. Both piching staffs held each other down. In the end, time just ran out on Reds after the Cards took care of the early chances in the 2nd inning to go up 2-0.

A very similar game to the first, but in an opposite mirror world. Reds took the early 1-0 lead in the 4th, and good pitching held both teams down. A. Harang tied everyone except S. Schumaker in knots. The one mistake the Reds made , though, was to pull Harang in the eighth. That opened the "floodgates" as the Cards scored 2 late runs and held on the win the game.

Attempting to avoid playing the same game yet a third time, Reds come out with guns blazing, jumping to an early 3-0 lead, mainly on a J. Votto homerun. Cards realize this isn't a pitcher's duel anymore and start chipping away with individual runs in the 1st, 2nd, and then tie it in the 4th on a shot by R. Ankiel. Reds take the late lead on a homerun by J. Hairston in the 7th. Cards come back yet again to tie it in the 8th inning, and Y. Molina drives in the winning run on 2nd by way of a single in the bottom of the 9th.

Outstanding series Beamer, ole buddy. I feel bad that, I finally got my game together, and it had to be against you. Good luck the rest of the way.

I peeked in on these games. gm 3 was quite entertaining.
