Cards took a 1-0 lead off a solo shot by Pujols in the first inning, who has all of a sudden become hot. Too little too late, I'm afraid. Piniero dominated for a second straight appearance as lead was milked the entire game until Ankiel drove in Pujols with a double in the 8th. J. Motte gets his league (and probably season) leading 9th save to close the year for the Cardinals.
