| The Whitesox led early 2-1, but blew the game up in the bottom of the 7th when they exploded for 5 runs on multiple extra base hits capped off with Quintin's 3-Run bomb! The Twins climbed back in the game by stringing a couple runs together in the late innings but Bobby Jenks came through for the Sox earning a hard fought 4-out save by getting former teammate Jim Thome to ground out to Beckham with runners in scoring position to end the dramatic late inning game.
Hats off to the pitching staff for the Whitesox they controlled the Twins all night long by mixing speeds, eye level, and location. Games 2 and 3 of this 3-game series will be play out this weekend with the Twins looking to even the series and take the third game while the Whitesox are focusing on capitalizing on this series and sweeping the Twins sending them packing for Minnesota to face the other Sox of the AL....Boston. | |

| Game 2 Don't let the box score in the 10th throw you off here. This game was one of the most intensely played games yet. A back forth ball game until tied by a solo shot by Thome down the left field line in the 7th, this game was hanging by a thread. To lead off the top of the 10th, JJ Hardy stroked a double down the left field line. Two outs later, with Hardy still standing on 2nd, O-Dawg floated a 2-2 pitch down the third base line to plate Hardy who was running like he stole something! From there the Chicago bullpen fell apart and the Twins piled up a comfortable lead to finish the game in extra innings. Great AL Central matchup! | |

| Game 3 The final game of this 3-game series started off with the Whitesox pinning it to Scott Baker in the bottom of the 1st with 6 runs on 6 hits. Baker gathered his composure to pitch 5 shutout innings until yanked in the 7th after giving up his 7th run of the game. During those 5 shutout innings the Twins of Minnesota clawed their way back into the game with back to back solo shots from Casilla and Span, then another solo shot by Kubel bringing the game within 1 at 6-5 going into the 7th. From there on Danks bore down, found his composure again, and rifled through the Minnesota lineup allowing hits here and there but when the Twins were ready to strike late, Danks was relentless with RISP. Minnesota was a measly 1-9 with RISP with Danks on the mound. Chicago took this series 2-1 but rest assured when this series goes to Minnesota the Twins will be out the get their AL Central counterpart! Great series Smoke_Stew...this guy knows how to control a game!!! On a funny side note, here is a screen shot of a line drive Danks took in the top of the 9th off a Mauer bat. This ended up being a routine 1-3 PO, but if Danks hadn't knocked it down the outcome may have been different...who knows... | |

| Willdog, this was some of the best sim baseball fun I have had on the show. It was truely a pleasure and look forward to coming to your new stadium for another series.
That shot Danks took on the elbow was incredible. His throwing arm, line drive in the elbow...come on.
Great games. | |
