| Game 3: Twins 4 Nats 2 Game was disconnected in the bottom of the 7th. Rainout rule applied. However, through 6 innings this game was a battle from the beginning. The Twins jumped out with an RBI double by Mauer only to have the Nats respond with a run of their own. With 2 outs in the 3rd the Nats exploited the Twins newest member of the Twins just called up from AAA to replace JJ Hardy as he does some rehab work. However, the Twins countered in the bottom of the 3rd with back to back doubles and 2 singles to pull ahead to 4-2. The Nats had some amazing defense and well placed pitches as they closed 4 of the 6 innings played with inning ending double plays.  | |
