Game 1: TEX 7, WSH 1
Brandon McCarthy completely shut down the Nationals in tonights ballgame giving up only 5 hits and 1 run in 8 1/3 innings. The lone run came off of the bat of Adam Dunn who launched a 454 foot moon shot in the 7th inning. The first 3 innings were scoreless between the two, but the Rangers broke through in the 4th and never looked back. Chris Davis accounted for 3 of the Rangers 7 runs, earning the player of the game award.

Game 2: TEX 5, WSH 2
Texas takes game 2 from the Nationals in a close ballgame, winning 5-2. Julio Borbon led the game off with his first of two walks and was the first to cross the plate in the game off of a Nelson Cruz single. Chris Davis hit his second homer of the series early on and the Rangers took an early 3-0 lead which would stand for the rest of the game. Texas looks for the sweep tomorrow but have yet to name their starter, but Ron Washington has hinted toward Neftali Feliz, who is looking to bounce back after a rough start against the Phillies.
