| game 1 POG: Jason Kubel, his 2-run HR opened up a tight game for the Twins giving them an initial 8-3 lead. This was after the first pitch of the at bat he hit foul down the left field line just missing a home run by feet, he promptly took the next pitch and placed it in the right field stands. | |

| game 3 Twins win their 8th straight as they continue to fight for playoff hopes, however, they will need to focus up and get ready to play the hot Tigers, who are under new management and are strong contenders in their own division. This up coming series will definitely have playoff implications. POG: Jason Kubel, for the 2 time in the 3 game series Kubel raked in the love as he went 2-5 with 2 Runs scored, 2 HR's, and 5 RBI's. Overall for the series Kubel was 6-13 with 9 RBI's and 3 dingers. The scores may look lob sided but the Nationals hung in there and battled in every game, however, their bullpen did let them down late in the games giving up 19 runs in the 7th, 8th, and 9th innings of the series. 90% of baseball games are won in the 7th-9th innings and with numbers like that the Nationals bullpen make it very difficult for a talented offensive to win ball games. Great series BeamerCA and good luck mixing it up the rest of the season. | |
