The Redsox scored in the 1st inning off of an RBI DB by Kevin Youkilis. Alexi Ramirez tied things up at 1-1 in the 3rd inning with an RBI single. In the 6th inning the Redsox pulled away for good with 2 RBI DB's by J.D. Drew and Adrian Beltre. Scutaro also drove in a run in the inning with an RBI single to make it 6-1 Redsox after 6. Mike Cameron added a run in the 7th with an RbI single to make it 7-1 Redsox. The Whitesox would add two more in the 8th off of an Omar Vizquel 2 RBI DB but it wouldn't be enough as the Redsox take this one 7-3.

The Redsox jumped out early on the Whitesox with an RBI DB by Dustin Pedroia, a Kevin Youkilis sac fly RBI, and a 2 run HR by Mike Cameron to make it 4-0 at the end of 1. Alexi Ramirez put the Whitesox on the board with a solo HR in the 2nd inning. In the 4th inning, Alex Rios pulled the Whitesox within a run with a 2 run HR to make it 4-3 Redsox. In the bottom of the 4th, the Redsox pulled away again with RBI singles by J.D. Drew and Marco Scutaro. Dustin Pedroia hit a pop fly to left field that was misplayed and allowed a run to score. Victor Martinez finished off the inning with a 3 run jack making it 10-3 Redsox after 4 innings. The Whitesox answered again in the 5th with a 2 run DB by Paul Konerko and a 2 run HR by Carlos Quentin to make it 10-7 Redsox. The Whitesox would only put one more run on the board with an RBI single by A.J. Pierzynski to make it a final of 10-8 Redsox.

The Whitesox got on the board first in this game with and RBI single by Gordon Beckham to make it 1-0 Whitesox after 2. In the 4th inning, the Redsox get on the board when the runner from 3rd scored on a passed ball making it 1-1 after 4. In the 7th inning, the Redsox get a little breathing room when Marco Scutaro hit an RBI 3B and Jacoby Ellsbury hit an RBI single to make it 3-1 Redsox after 7. Paul Konerko homered in the 8th but it wouldn't be enough as the Redsox take this one 3-2.
