Victor Martinez got the Redsox going in the first inning with an RBI single followed by a 2 RBI single by Mike Lowell to make it 3-0 Redsox after 1. Those would be the only runs the Redsox would get but it would be the only runs they would need. Jon Lester threw a great game and only allowed two runs in 7 innings of work. Julio Bourbon hit an RBI single in the 5th and Vlad Guerrero hit a solo HR in the 6th as the Redsox win this one 3-2.

Jarrod Saltalamachia (I'm sure that's not how you spell that) got the Rangers on the board in the 2nd inning with a 2 RBI DB to give the Rangers the early 2-0 lead. The Redsox evened things up in the 4th inning when Victor Martinez doubled in a run and Mike Lowell brought in a run with a sac fly. That was all the scoring until the 9th inning when Jason Varitek was hit with a pitch with the bases loaded and Victor Martinez hit a 2 RBI single to make it a 5-2 Redsox lead. Chris Davis added a run for the Rangers in the 9th on a fielder's choice ground ball, but that would be all as the Redsox take this one 5-3.
