Granderson started off the scoring in this one with a 3B to center field and then scoring on a sac fly by Placido Polanco. The Cubs answered right back with a HR by Derek Lee to tie the score up at 1-1. The score remained 1-1 until Polanco untied things with a HR to left field in the eigth inning. This would be the final score, but the Tigers would have to get out of a bases loaded no out jam in the 9th to win the game.
